Alisha Miller, MS LPCA NCC (She, her, hers)
Education and Licensure
I received an MA in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May of 2011. I taught third, eighth, ninth and tenth grades for four years in the NC Public Education system before returning to school to obtain my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in May of 2017. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (A#13345) in the state of North Carolina.
During my schooling and professional experiences, I have focused on helping college-aged students, individuals of all identities and orientations from kindergarten to adulthood, and have extensive experience assisting female identifying individuals. I utilize an integrative and client centered approach, utilizing techniques from many different psychotherapy theoretical views including: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, relational/interpersonal and behavioral therapies as well as arts/expressive therapies, and solution focused therapy.
Thank you for allowing me to sit alongside you. I always find it a great honor to hear my clients’ stories and I am excited to work with you in this part of your life’s journey.
